11th November 2010 Today is Armistice day 11th day of the 11th month. On Sunday I will be laying a wreath in Looe at the War Memorial which now includes the name of a Looe Soldier who recently lost his life in Afghanistan.
All over the UK similar services will be held & this important tradition must be upheld to honour those who gave their lives for their fellow citizens. There is no glory in war but there is in the bravery & spirit of our soldiers.
Today the weather is grey & miserable after a lovely sunny day yesterday with clear blue skies. Pauline is in Birmingham visiting friends & family & I am now getting on with the back log of jobs. I am part way through refurbishing The Dairy & have 1 room left to do in The Stable. Last night I had a long soak in the hot tub whilst listening to the Football on 5 live.
17th November2010 Overnight storm causes heavy flooding in Lostwithiel, St. Austell and Mevagissey. A38 closed at Trago Mills by landslip.
Monday 22 November 2010 Lovely dry start to this week .
30 November 2010 Well its very dry, cold & frosty. The animals were out early but so were the buzzards. Latest score Buzzards 2 Chickens 0. When it gets cold the predators predate. They have to live.
